Managed the development of project accounting functionality, integrations, and reporting in D365 for Finance and Operations. Co-captained a technical team of 20 (accounting, IT (internal and offshore), and partner resources) that managed code development, bug fixes, code promotion, package development/deployment, system maintenance, and upgrades in one D365 F&O cloud production environment, 3 cloud test environments, and 20-25 cloud-hosted dev environments. Led the accounting and finance team and personally performed detailed work on 2 major ERP/financial systems implementations—Microsoft AX 2012 (2015-2018; $3M budget; acting PM) and Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations (2019-2020; $4M budget). Migrated a total of 120 legal entities from 6 financial platforms and created 35 integrations with an interdisciplinary, geographically dispersed team of 40+ internal experts and assistance from external partners. Supervised a staff of 4 AP clerks and 4 general ledger accountants and was responsible for related hiring. Coordinated with a decentralized AR billing staff. Managed monthly, quarterly, and annual processes including review of AJEs, reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, P&L variance analyses, and budgeting. Prepared analyses included in the 10-Q/K and proved and cross-referenced the 10-Q/K filings. Managed external audit requests. Maintained financial and management reports. Developed procedures for intercompany AR/AP eliminations. Managed 1099 training and compliance. Partnered with IT to develop custom transportation software and custom budget software.

Started as Corporate Accountant. Assumed additional responsibilities of accounting for 3 hazardous waste disposal sites. Typical duties included analyzing data and entering associated AJEs (e.g. unbilled revenue, deferred revenue, payroll, intercompany eliminations, ZBA, credit cards, restricted cash and investments, imputed interest, PTO, 401(k), medical IBNR, etc.), reconciling bank accounts and petty cash, generating monthly management and financial reports, analyzing budget-to-actual variances/trends, and filing with government agencies (e.g. sales and use tax, unclaimed property). Accounted for approximately 1,200 fixed assets and helped establish processes for proper documentation of capital expenditure approval and fixed asset disposal. Assisted in special projects such as audits of pricing addendums.

Performed general ledger accounting for a telecommunications client. Duties included recording daily journal entries, reconciling credit card transactions, reconciling balance sheet accounts for 9 divisions, analyzing operating expenses and explaining budget-to-actual variances, preparing audit lead schedules, research/documentation of historical data to support divestiture of assets.

Assisted in the preparation of S-4 filings for exchange offers (e.g. audited financials, documented EBITDA analysis, proved and cross-referenced exchange offers). Due diligence experience included reconstruction of revenue flow for a major internet search engine and audit of venture capital investment partnership funds.

Assisted on year-end and 401(k) audits in the high-tech, software, and higher-education industries. Principally responsible for detail testing and for documentation of testing in the audit plans.
