My past job as a building manager for the Memorial Union building has been the most influential towards my work habits and the way I operate as an employee. The Memorial Union is the hub of campus activity for Arizona State and as a building manager we oversee every activity that happens. I lead a group of event assistants to ensure that all room reservations are set and ready to go. I often deal with technology issues and find myself troubleshooting and finding solutions. This has taught me to think on my feet and stay on task. My time as a building manager has allowed me to better understand things like community events, fundraisers, and engagements with students, which have positively shaped the way I work with fellow employees.Aside from work experience, I would say that I am very versatile and diverse. Growing up I never liked to stay in one social group, doing things like theater, varsity sports, and after school science clubs. When I applied for college I joined as an engineer but later in the semester I found my passion for business. I believe that all of these experiences have rounded me, which in turn helps me to understand and thrive within different social groups and settings.
