The presentation layer was based on a thin client model. The business object layer was implemented in an application server using MIDAS with DCOM as the commutations protocol. The data access layer was designed to support SQL Server, Db2, Oracle, and flat file databases. This very complicated application was successfully implemented and became the company's primary source of revenue.
