Responsible for the care, custody and control of all Work Release residents.

• In January of 2021, was awarded the rank of Sergeant. Sergeants are the bridge between all officers and the management team; in that, they carry the collective voice of the officers they lead and are the vessel for administration to implement company policy and procedure. As a supervisor, a Sergeant is expected to act as a leader and set the standard for all officers to follow. Being the primary point of contact of supervision, Sergeants are often on call 24/7 and should always be generally aware of daily operations.• In May of 2021, received the title of Administrative Sergeant. The Administrative Sergeant works tandem with the Patrol Sergrant to make daily operations more self-efficient. The Admin Sergeant is also tasked with reviewing every report submitted on NowForce (i.e., a dispatch and reporting system).• Maintained all duties of an agent and officer when providing coverage for a site.

• Maintained all duties of a security officer but with the added qualification to work armed contracts after achieving Act 235 certification on November 24, 2020.• Prior roles of supervision held as a security officer, such as being an acting lead officer, carried over after becoming an armed agent.• In December of 2020, was given the role of a patrol supervisor. The role of a patrol supervisor is to oversee ongoing operations and be the first point of contact for on-duty officers/agents seeking supervision.

• Provided a variety of unarmed security services at the client’s request.• General officer duties include but are not limited to completing patrol logs; conducting site checks and mobile patrols in a marked patrol vehicle; observing and reporting any suspicious activity or exigent situation; preventing theft/damage to property; interacting with local law enforcement when necessary.• Occasionally performed plain clothed services that involve physical surveillance.• From August to September of 2020, was assigned to a 24 hour response unit called the Continuous Coverage Unit (CCU). The CCU consisted of having to work three to four 12 hour shifts every week. Responsibilities included acting as a dispatcher for on-duty officers; answering the office phone and taking messages from potential clients during non-office hours; ensuring that the patrol vehicles were always in a ready-to-go condition; and, finding immediate coverage or providing the coverage myself for contract sites.• In September of 2020, was entrusted with the role of an acting lead officer. An acting lead officer assumes supervision of ongoing operations when no supervisors are readily available.

• Assisted in grant-funded research in association with the York City Police Department.• Title of research, "Minorities and Women in Policing: Developing a Better Understanding of Underrepresented Persons in the Application Process."• Developed a electronic survey using Qualtrics.• Co-authored a comprehensive outline comprised of a literature review, survey findings and aggregated data in tables, and policy implications.

• Learned about the role and functions of the Bureau of Special Investigations (BSI) and the Bureau of Fraud Prevention and Prosecution (BFPP).• Observed how investigators and agents conduct investigations, interview subjects, and write reports for Welfare fraud cases and internal affairs cases.• Participated in ride-alongs during field investigations and observed preliminary court hearings.• Attended case review meetings and workshop/training meetings with BFPP agents and BSI investigators.
