WHO AM I?I have been in Management since I was 19 years old, learning many different industries along the way. I have started businesses for myself and others, as well as managing small and large workforces for various companies. For the last 16+ years, I have worked for Valpak, beginning in operations management, supply chain management, and currently Director of Supply Chain. One of my biggest strengths is my lifelong quest for learning, whether on my own or in a classroom setting; which has given me the ability to quickly adapt and learn new things to apply to my everyday life.

Assess business requirements, perform data analytics, forecast demand, and identify baselines for purchasing that meet prioritized business requirements.Logistics: Responsible for inbound and outbound transportation, engaging key business stakeholders. This includes coordination of domestic and oversees transportation, sourcing events, and frequent business reviews with partners.Planning & Scheduling: Oversee the planning of supplies, schedules, and goods movement throughout the internal manufacturing process as well as coordinating outsource materials. Active in forecasting demand, materials, and output of production processes.Warehouse: Lead a team of over 60 people who coordinate production materials incoming, in-process, and outgoing throughout a highly automated Lean facility. Institute a culture for continuous improvement of process and employee development.Sales, Finance, Support: Team is highly engaged in sales forecasting, support, costing, margin analysis, as well as new product development. I was highly involved in the development of a new product in conjunction with the USPS to add a new revenue stream for the company. We were able to quickly evolve this product to add 14 million postcards/month to the program. Also, were able to expand our Solo postcard program from a few thousand to over 3 million per month through outsource vendors.

    Lead a team of buyers that perform a wide range of activities while helping develop their skills and support their growth. My team purchases raw materials, supplies, parts, etc from dozens of vendors. We also work with outsource vendors for procurement of unique print products. We are often times the conduit between sales and operations/production. We help facilitate new processes and communications between all sides of the business. Typical duties include utilizing RFPs and RFQs for our formal vendor selections, negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors and suppliers, perform site visits and quality audits, new vendor selection, inventory management, profit analysis for new product proposals, current costing analysis, process improvement, cost avoidance, reviewing new products or opportunities, performance reviews, etc.I work closely with all departments in production to ensure that their needs are met and processes are followed.
