For various construction projects pertaining to HVAC and associated systems, a partial list of duties for this position are as follows:Represent the company as a design professional at project team design meetings and assist the project team by coordinating with the general contractor and other building trades.Provide HVAC system layouts and engineering for projects to be utilized for prospective projects and securing jobs.Perform site visits to review and evaluate existing mechanical systems and provide energy and/or performance solutions with the assistance of the project management team.Perform and check CAD drafting work which includes 3D modeling and implementation of design standards.Produce engineered drawings, and specifications related to heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning systems.Perform calculations for a project, such as heating/cooling loads, equipment selection, and sizing, pipe and duct sizing, friction loss calculations, etc. Complete applications engineering including psychometrics, refrigeration layout/sizing, acoustics, and controls systems layout.Development and/or review of sequences of operation for building systems.Develop and review equipment schedules and submittals.Perform site visits to inspect installations and confirm compliance with the construction document and assist in the resolution of design and construction issue during the construction phase of the projects.Maintaining the critical link/flow of information from the office to the field for all construction projects to ensure the highest probability of project success and repeat business.Responsible for Code Compliance and assistance with LEED certifications/Documentation, preparing Title 24 Acceptance Doc and LEED/Cal-Green documentation as well as preparing project closeout as-build drawings.
