I'm deeply committed to community building in both my professional and personal life. As a career firefighter, I've had the honor of working with dedicated colleagues who are transforming our understanding of mental health, trauma, and operational stress injuries. My involvement in the fire service includes roles such as Chaplain, Peer Support Coordinator, CISM Coordinator, BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Association Mental Health Task Force Member, and Executive Member of the BC Fire Chaplains Association. Over the years, I've progressed through the ranks and currently serve as Fire Chief.My dedication to community extends into my personal life as well. I am a husband and father of five, and I've served as a Parent Advisory Chair at both the local and district levels, a School District Trustee candidate, an ordained minister, a pastor, a church board member, a coach, a bus driver, and the president of a nonprofit organization.What motivates me in all these pursuits is witnessing genuine connections—whether between people, with nature, the universe, or one's inner self. Being part of these meaningful moments is incredibly fulfilling for me.
