Chief of Current Operations. Assisted the G3 in managing training support, scheduling, and resourcing for over 180 U.S Army Infantry School and U.S Army Armor School resident courses and programs of instruction at the largest training organization in the U.S. Army. Responsible for the daily operations and supervision of the G3 staff which supports 5 Training Brigades, 3 Tenant Brigades, and numerous other separate battalion and company level organizations. Responsible for briefing the commanding general and subordinate commands multiple times weekly to ensure situational understanding of current and future operations. Provided oversight and planning for special events and ceremonies which represent the command to external audiences. Supported TRADOC, FORSCOM, USASOC, IMCOM, National Guard Bureau, and Army Reserve activities at Fort Benning. Assisted the G3 with the management of 30 military, 35 DA Civilians and 135 contractors. Worked with the reception battalion and the US Citizenship and Immigration Services to establish an office on Fort Benning to assist Soldiers in becoming naturalized US citizens. Planned and organized the movement of the Directorate of Human Resources from multiple locations to one centralized building. Assisted with the planning and execution of the Regional Combined Arms Symposium sponsored by ARCENT for 35 foreign officers. Supervised and led the Maneuver Warfighting Conference Operations cell for 2015.

Strategic Plans Project Officer. Acted as the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE) G3 (Operations Officer) for 60 days. Planned, organized and executed the transition plan for the incoming Commanding General. Assessed long-term strategic planning documents to identify, formulate and document near-term integration processes, synchronization requirements and changes to training plans, regulations, or command training guidance. Managed and built monthly updates to the MCoE Campaign Plan. Prepared near-term strategic plans for the Maneuver Center of Excellence integration while conducting forums to enhance training effectiveness, individual and unit training performance, and optimize training timelines. Responsible for formulating, authorizing, organizing, directing, and assessing Recurring Training events and all long-range plans and orders that apply to the MCoE. Responsible for planning and resourcing special projects. Developed the Fort Benning plan to resource units for holiday leave, at three transportation nodes, for 3000-5000 Soldiers annually.

Eskan Village, Riyadh, Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia

Chief Staff Advisor to the Saudi Arabian National Guard (SANG). Provided strategic and operational advice, assistance and assessment on all matters pertaining to operations, training, readiness, force modernization and strategic vision for SANG consisting of an active duty force of 10 brigades with 100,000 personnel and primary mission of maintaining Kingdom internal stability, defending the national borders, supporting interagency operations against terrorist and defending vital infrastructure. Coordinated advisor support for the planning and execution of a $500 million Foreign Military Sales Case. Developed an accelerated fielding and training plan for two, 360 vehicle, Light Armored Vehicle (LAV) Brigades in the Saudi Arabian National Guard. Assisted the SANG with efforts to establish counter-terrorist capabilities and capacity as deemed necessary by the Assistant Program Manager for Maneuver. Mentored and conducted initial planning for a foreign military on the requirements to establish a 6,000 square kilometer combat training center.

Operations Section Executive Officer. Assisted in managing the current operations, plans, training, leader development and execution of 134 resident training courses and 181 Programs of Instruction. Leads the operations coordination cell, and ensures proper execution from planning to After Action Review of official functions. Plans, coordinates, and oversees the support of external agencies, the Garrison Command, various directorates, tenant and satellite units. Planned, resourced, and supervised the execution of the occupation of a more than 600 person office building using limited resources saving the government over $1,000,000. Oversaw the management of range safety/operations for 66 live fire ranges and 122,000 maneuver acres. Coordinated with 10 division chiefs to ensure the Maneuver Center of Excellence Programs of Instruction are properly updated and resourced. Performs other duties as assigned.

Deputy Brigade Commander for the 192d Infantry Brigade consisting of two Basic Combat Training Battalions, one Infantry One Station Unit Training (OSUT) Battalion and one Reception Battalion, with an assigned Cadre strength exceeding 600 Soldiers and civilians. Planned, resourced and executed the Auburn Athletic Trainer program for the brigade. The program put Athletic Trainers in every battalion allowing early identification of injuries and prevention. Initial program was so successful it is now a best practice across Fort Benning. Planned, directed and coordinated the administrative, logistical and operational staff support functions for an average daily load of 3,500 Initial Entry Training (IET) Soldiers. Supervised the maintenance, resources and an annual budget of 4.3 million dollars. Served as the executive agent interfacing with the Department of the Army, MACOM Organizations and installation staff agencies. Represented the Brigade Commander in his absence.

Iraq

Chief of a Military Transition Team (MiTT) responsible for advising two Iraqi Army (IA) battalions operating in the vicinity of Mosul and a border police battalion in the Mayson Province. Established and trained an Iraqi Army Battalion, from individual to collective tasks, and prepared them to perform their security missions in less than four months. Mentored and advised the commanders which have assumed control of their own areas of operations and are conducting full spectrum operations. Provided technical and tactical expertise through coaching, teaching and mentoring to improve the ability of the battalions’ leadership and staffs to plan, rehearse and execute training and independent operations. Ensured the staffs are advised on all logistical, administrative, and daily activities. Integrated coalition fires and effects with the battalions’ objectives to fully support their operations. Synchronized the battalions’ efforts with other Iraqi Security Forces (ISF) assets, local leaders and coalition forces to improve the security posture in the region. Planned and supervised the security, logistics and quality of life on three different remote compounds in a hostile environment. Led a 10 man team in combat in austere conditions for 12 months with no casualties.

Executive Officer of the 4th Ranger Training Battalion consisting of five companies: HHC, three Ranger Training Companies and a Reconnaissance and Surveillance Leader Training Company. Supervised the expansion of the Reconnaissance and Surveillance Leaders Course at a cost of $5,000,000 for equipment and infrastructure. Supervised the planning and construction of a 400 man classroom at a cost of $750,000. Directed, coordinated and supervised the staff actions required to execute the tactical and leadership training of over 3,000 Soldiers annually. Training included planning operations, combatives, survival, navigation, airborne, air assault operations, and battle drills. Responsible for the maintenance and improvement of two cantonment areas with over 50 buildings. Coordinated with brigade and installation staff. Ensured Ranger instruction was synchronized with requirements of the Army worldwide. Managed a budget of over $1,000,000 with no loss of accountability while completing the execution of the spend plans. Conducted an internal audit of unit requirements justifying a budget increase from $650,000 to $950,000. Directed, coordinated, and supervised environmental inspections. Developed a plan for future facility and infrastructure improvements for Camp Rogers on Fort Benning. Managed the battalion’s organizational maintenance. Served as the Battalion Commander in his absence.

Battalion Operations Officer for the 4th Ranger Training Battalion. Responsible for planning support for over 3,000 students annually in Ranger School and the Reconnaissance and Surveillance Leader Course. Developed and implemented an updated program of instruction for the first phase of Ranger school which streamlined the assessment phase and allowed more time for field training.Supervised the operations section responsible for training, training support, ammunition, communications, airborne operations, taskings, and cadre school requirements. Planned and prepared quarterly training, cycle training, and other command briefings. Coordinated after action reviews and course revisions. Planned, resourced and executed the Best Ranger Competitions in 2006-2007. Represented the commander at briefings, meetings, and other conferences. Performed other duties as directed by the Battalion Commander and Brigade Commander.

Fort Leavenworth, Ks

Executive Officer for the Combined Arms Center (CAC) G3, responsible for synchronizing CAC responsibilities of Army Leader Development, Doctrine, Collective Training and Battle Command in a 3-star, 2,300 person organization. Supervised receipt, analysis and disposition of incoming actions, programs, and tasks. Established a new staff tracker for the CAC Headquarters which assigned, monitored and ensured quality responses of over 900 separate actions with command group visibility. Assisted in planning, integrating and assessing future actions for the CAC. Developed the CAC master calendar and wrote the weekly situation report for the CAC Commander to send to the TRADOC Commander. Exercised external resourcing, synchronization, preparation, coordination and execution of projects with HQ TRADOC, Department of the Army, and other U.S. Government Agency Staffs as directed. Ensures appropriate orientation and assimilation of new personnel.

Rear Detachment Commander. Commands a 500 Soldier Rear Detachment (RD) for a six battalion Mechanized Infantry Brigade Combat Team. Responsible for training, maintaining, and caring for RD Soldiers and all families. Deployed the 3500 Soldier brigade to Kuwait. Received, trained and deployed over 450 Soldiers to the deployed force in an immature theater; recognized as a best practice by the US Army. Supervises, directs and coordinates the efforts of the RD staff. Reviews staff actions and assigns specific responsibilities to prepare and support family readiness programs, supply operations, material readiness, and food service. Maintains close liaison with all installation agencies and directorates. Areas of focus include: oversight of administrative storage contract, RSOI of late-deployers; barracks renovation; and Division Rear Detachment command and staff interface.
