I have a Bachelor degree in Information Technology with a focus on network administration; I have always enjoyed working with computers, and helped people with technology in both personal and professional settings.In addition to my formal education, I have more than fifteen years of customer service experience, ranging from box store retail to call center and door-to-door sales. This includes 8 years at employee owned Bi-Mart and a lead position at CHEFs Catalog’s call center.Throughout my various positions, I have always made it a point to be close to those in IT positions for the company. Having always had a passion for computers, I love to always be learning and growing in my abilities. Currently, I work for the Special Programs Center at the Oregon Employment Department as a Benefit and Employment Specialist helping both employees and employers to start and keep businesses running and to help people get the training needed to pursue a career. In this and previous roles I employ excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interpret, implement and explain complex rules, regulations and policies. I can efficiently handle navigating a windows environment, and operating all necessary software and hardware. I am skilled in comprehension and communication, and in executing business processes, special projects or extra workloads.I possess stellar customer service abilities that include establishing and maintaining rapport and great working relationships with clients of varied and diverse backgrounds, coworkers, superiors, cross-functional teams and the like. I am very friendly and outgoing, and excited that I have had this opportunity to tell you a bit about myself.
