Being a CFO is exactly what you think it’s like. I make sure the numbers add up, I focus on the practical side of the business. This role suits me perfectly, I am a plain-talking, no-nonsense, grounded type of person. I believe being a life-long travel enthusiast helped build these personality traits that serve me well in my current position. Obviously you have to be a bit of a dreamer to even contemplate the fact of summiting the world’s highest peaks or visiting the most remote places, but that’s the easy bit. The hard part is in the execution, the planning of your trip, setting a budget, getting the necessary gear, preparing for the unexpected, and making sure you are disciplined enough to follow through with your decisions. But at the end of it it is always worth it, and truly humbling to stand at the edge of the world and realise how small we actually are.I am incredibly lucky to have such a fortunate life. I have the possibility to travel and experience the most beautiful places in the world, have a wonderful, loving family, and have the health and energy to push myself towards new challenges. Having all this tangible and intangible wealth in my life made me want to give back to those who have been less fortunate. Combining my passion for travel, the thrill of a challenge, and having the end result benefit a good cause made running a successful charity challenge business the ideal goal to pursue.After countless years of travelling and experiencing the most intense adventures you could think of, we knew what kind of experience we wanted to create for our participants. We never release a challenge that we would not be happy or excited to do ourselves. We make sure our participants have a once-in-a-lifetime adventure that is safe, challenging, fun and of great value. We aim to be fully transparent, open to new ideas, and collaborate only with reputable and sincere partners.I am happy to say that our hard work is paying off! We’ve been in business for more than 12 years.
