Founded in 1976, the Alliance represents over 3,000 Public, Educational and Governmental (PEG) access organizations and community media center throughout the country. The ACM works to protect the interests of these access centers and those who use PEG facilities and equipment to advance their causes through cable television and the Internet.

The Alliance for Community Media ~ Northwest Region represents and advocates on behalf of all media creators and providers including videographers, musicians, graphic designers and Public, Educational and Governmental (PEG) cable TV access organizations, community media centers, and access producers throughout Alaska, Alberta, British Columbia, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.Founded initially as a group to support PEG organizations, the inclusion of digital media providers resonates with us on issues like net neutrality, broadband access and the distribution and (protection/production) of artists’ work everywhere.

Responsible for the planning and execution of all remote productions for the only television station serving the 102,000 residents of Cowlitz County in Southwestern Washington.- Developed and deployed the remote televised meeting solution used by six local governments to maintain and enhance civic transparency and public participation during the Covid-19 pandemic- Produced the only debates for local and state legislative primaries in association with the League of Women Voters- Directed the first virtual graduation ceremony for Kelso High School featuring the faces and voices of every single graduating student along with faculty and administrators, produced in a Covid-safe environment

Engineering, programming and operations of five-channel television network covering Southern Santa Clara County and all of San Benito County, serving four local government partners, and operating public access and educational programming for CMAP TV at the Greenhouse co-working space and television studio and equipment rental facility. Also taught classes at S.C. County libraries.

Responsible for video production support services and the technical operations of four public, education and government access cable & Internet television stations covering Jackson and Josephine Counties.This position covers:- Design and implementation of public education programs in studio and field production;- Administering the use of station resources available to hundreds of local residents;- Ensuring the 24/7 operation of all cablecast and streaming equipment and maintenance of Master Control, studio equipment, field equipment and video editing systems;- Creation and implementation of the master schedule & programming thereof of the community access channel (RVTV Voices);- Creation and maintenance of the Public Access Archive as a repository of all locally-generated community access programming in partnership with Archive.org;- Providing technical direction and other professional services for a variety of public and private clients in live programming, studio recording sessions and field shoots;- Providing staff support to the Public Access Advisory Board;- Furthering the education mission of the Digital Media Center and maintaining the security and unhindered operation of the facility;- Supporting government access operations, including the operation of live public hearings as well as their transmission over three local channels (RVTV Prime, RVTV Civic, RVTV Grants Pass) and the provision of on-demand content as needed.

I started the Humboldt Sentinel as a home-based web-only newspaper on May 23, 2005. Our volunteer staff soon expanded and we re-located to offices in Old Town Eureka in 2006, where we continued operations until late 2012 when I relocated to Oregon.Our viewership averaged around 100,000 hits per month for several years running as we were well-positioned to take advantage of the demise of several local newspapers (namely ones trapped in the failing print model of publication) and the shrinkage of the rest. The Humboldt Sentinel boasted the most in-depth and widest variety of video news and scene clips of any local media on YouTube and on local community television.Along with my skills brought to bear on the editorial page and the general reporting on local government, our electronic pages featured some of the most original music & cultural scene coverage around, everything from independent movie and music reviews to the affairs of the gourmet restaurateur.

As part of the Board of Directors, I provide oversight for the operations of the Union as well as the ACLU Foundation of Northern California. I also represent the interests of the Redwood Chapter, covering nearly 1,000 dues-paying ACLU members on California's North Coast.

I operate the broadcast of various live events and the talk show "North Coast Game Night" which appear on KATA 1340 AM, the local sports radio station in Eureka, CA.

Responsible for all aspects of live and recorded remote and local productions, operating live production equipment including video and audio switchers, lights, mics, graphics & presentation feeds to ensure proper transmission. Taught classes in studio and field production for public access producers. Hosted Election Night live broadcasts, providing results w/detailed analysis & interviews.

In addition to the standing duties of the Board of Directors to guide the administration and set the general policies of the Ancapistan Capital Exchange, I also served as Chair of the Marketing Committee and on the Finance Committee.

I was a radio news reporter for this community radio station based in Humboldt County. I produced independent news reports on local government and politics for their nightly news broadcast.

I was responsible for the news coverage of this now-closed weekly newspaper, writing 6-9 articles a week on local government, politics, labor and business.
