As a Loss Prevention Agent at the West Coast distribution center my duties include maintaining security of the 670,000 square foot facility. This is done through physical inspections and walks of entry and exit points throughout the warehouse and monitoring CCTV security camera system. My duties also include visually inspecting property of all associates arriving and leaving the distribution center to deter theft and product shrinkage. I am also responsible for reviewing video footage at the request of the Loss Prevention Manager and Human Resources for on the job injuries, powered equipment accidents and investigating theft and shrinkage of merchandise.The position is the first point of contact for all visitors, new hires, contractors and truck drivers entering the facility. I am responsible for verifying everyone on site by partnering with management and utilizing partnerships with the shipping and receiving coordinator.Lastly, the position is also responsible for auditing OSHA guidelines in regards to safety, including monitoring and inspecting first aid stations, training of emergency response and observing any safety opportunities within the warehouse.
