I'm an undergraduate environmental engineering student at the University of Florida currently involved with the Freshman Leadership Engineering Group as an Outreach Committee Ambassador. Through FLEG I joined and created an incredible network of diverse of fellow engineering undergraduates and hone in on my professional skills. As a Outreach Committee Ambassador I aided in organizing and planning commuity service events for our peers and make an impact in the local community. I also do freelance Advanced Placement Statistics tutoring with highschool students online and I babysit as well. I'm currently looking for more clients and looking to expand in the variety of topics to tutor. In the past I worked for MobilizeGreen as apart of their Environmental Justic and Climate Equity Fellowship as a fellow collaborating with the a team focused on creating better climate equity in Brooklyn, New York. Within this 8 week fellowship our team was able to conduct a Community Needs Assessment and immerse ourselves within the Brooklyn community to thorougly understand the environment.While I was attending highschool I was involved with Speech and Debate and I attended and judged several rigorous competitions, and even won a competition. I served as the secretary for my school's Speech and Debate club and I served as a debate instructor for students at my High School. I was also the Executive Treasurer of my school's National Honor Society where I collaborated with my fellow executive board members to plan comunity service events for our National Honor Society members to attend. In addition to those roles I also served the vital role of being a Peer Health Educator in my school's Health Information Project where I facilitated discussions within freshman classrooms promoting important health topis such as mental wellness, nutrition, and peer-to-peer relationships.
