My main role with Film London has been in shaping the new digital communications strategy for the company with the aim of greatly increasing the company's reach to new audiences as well as clarifying its intent and purpose to existing audiences. This has encompassed the creation of a new formalised social media strategy which includes running regular departmental meetings as well as regular meetings with connected programmes in order to have a more focused hand in the curation and scheduling of content.This role also includes the regular management, copywriting, scheduling and assessing of all of our major social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) as well as sourcing content for and publishing our weekly industry newsletter and providing proofing and support for many other newsletters that come from Film London. This analysis is then used by myself and others to make future decisions on the site's output.My role also includes many other duties including dealing with website hosting issues and making sure our website and social media presence meets accessibility standards. I also work with other Film London-associated programmes including FLAMIN, BFI NETWORK and more to ensure coherent messaging across the company and play a crucial role in the creation of new projects and content designed to increase the presence of Film London within the screen industries.
