Provided project governance to twelve high-profile waterfall and hybrid agile projects. Projects addressed strategic business initiatives, regulatory requirements, upgrades, and technology transformation. Worked on multiple projects concurrently. Partnered with the entire stakeholder community to ensure clarity, completeness, traceability in all SDLC deliverables.Evaluated and guided the test approach of SIT and UAT Test Plans. Reviewed and adjusted/expanded test cases to ensure test quality and functionality coverage. Reviewed risks, assumptions, dependencies, issues, and mitigation plans. Monitored the progress of test execution and changes to the requirements or design. Evaluated the resolution of defects with emphasis on root cause and regression testing. Developed and operationalized Application Lifecycle Management (QC/ALM) extracts to monitor test traceability to requirements. Managed an offshore/onshore test team responsible for the testing of HSBC’s in-house Fraud Monitoring and AML applications deployed to 52 countries. Provided feedback during requirement and design sessions of user interfaces and back-end processing. Ensured a successful migration from a windows-based to a web-based implementation.Established a test automation team. Architected a keyword-driven/data-driven framework that allowed testers with no coding experience to independently create fully automated, readable, maintainable test cases. Coached testers on test automation suitability. Automated 60% of 1,600 test cases. Integrated the framework with QC’s Test Lab to consolidate the results of both automated and manual test execution. Produced detailed, actionable reports.Introduced Test Driven Development (TDD) to the IT team and coached developers on Unit Testing.Improved test readability, reusability, maintainability by instituting functionality of callable, parameterized templates. Reduced test preparation effort by 30%.Validated ETL of fixed and variable length feeds to database. Tested record reconciliation, field validations, fuzzy logic normalization, error conditions, mapping to tables. Created test data and validated the output of complex back-end packages that process customer profile and transactional data to create AML alerts.

Designed and developed user interfaces for proprietary AML and Fraud Monitoring applications (PowerBuilder). Developed and enhanced back-end packages to generate detailed alerts on suspicious activity (Oracle PL/SQL).

Designed and developed system interface modules for both batch and real-time SWIFT processing (Unix, MQ, C++).
