Charlie made striking the balance so easy. Not only was he flexible with the days I worked each week, but was always understanding and allowed me to have time off during stressful exam periods. Charlie’s leadership meant that although I was challenged to manage my time well, I never felt overly burdened or overwhelmed by the internship. Having undertaken part of my internship during COVID-19 lockdowns, I was also continually impressed with Charlie’s ability to adapt to change, harness digital technology to not only complete his own work but provide me with guidance and innovate to keep up with the rapidly moving Communications landscape. Overall, Charlie was a pleasure to work with, bringing a witty sense of humour and passion for the work he does to every conversation we had.
