To remain proactive over the summer, I am interning as an editor and proofreader for The Fashion and Design Club. In this role, I actively participate in the publishing process for the ‘Inside the Brand’ books commissioned by the company. Most recently, I have been working on a new Jimmy Choo edition, which has deepened my understanding of the luxury fashion market. My responsibilities include researching, writing, editing, formatting, and collaborating closely with authors. Additionally, I have had the opportunity to attend the Burberry Annual General Meeting, sponsored by my employer, where I gained invaluable firsthand insights into the fashion industry.

I have spent the past three years working across the Food and Beverage department, in both the bar and restaurant, at the Double Tree by Hilton, Cheltenham. Here, I have worked as a part of a diverse team, taking payments, acting as host, and serving food and drinks. Hilton is a luxury hotel brand, and therefore demands high standards from its employees. My experience at Hilton has taught me how to maintain a customer-focused approach, whilst simultaneously communicating with colleagues, to ensure outstanding service. In my time at the company, I have also supervised several restaurant dinner shifts. This not only demonstrates that I am trustworthy and reliable, but also means I have experience cashing up tills and using problem-solving skills to deal with customer complaints. I am well respected in the workplace and an asset to the team.
