I am a self taught software engineer who has been traveling the world and building full stack web apps and businesses. I am currently available for software engineering roles working with Clojure, ClojureScript, Rust or similar technologies. I also have multiple years of experience as a top performer in various management and sales positions that I can detail upon request.I create apps built using Clojure(Script) that usually use Ring, Jetty, Reitit, Integrant, and Postgres (through next-jdbc & honeysql) on the backend and Reagent and Re-Frame (with UI styling through Tailwind) on the frontend. These apps are deployed and live with full auth, db, and payment processing functionality. I also have experience building full stack apps with Fulcro/Pathom/Datomic as well. I have also created full stack Rust applications using Axum on the backend accessing a Postgres db through sqlx, and the frontend developed using SSR and/or Leptos (usually styled with Tailwind). I have completed multiple software engineering courses, including Harvard’s CS50, where I received a 100% on every assignment, including the optional advanced problems that only 20% of Harvard’s own students complete. While I love working on my own challenging full stack projects with ever increasing ambition, I want to take my skills to the next level and help build bigger, bolder projects with a great team. I am the kind of developer that will think of a solution to a persistent problem as I am falling asleep and will have to get up and try it out. I wake up excited thinking about working on my current projects. I have developed a strong passion for this field and am often on various tech discords and slacks learning from mentors and helping newcomers in my leisure time.
