• Manage the engineering department composed of 90 FTEs and 10+ on-site contractors
• Recruit internal engineering resources and develop vendor relationship according to the business requirements
• Train and mentor the new engineers and leads, track and evaluate the performance of the team, work out personal development and career planning for engineers and leads
• Be front-line escalation point for all engineering issues related to projects managed by engineering team
• Regular sync calls with global production/operation managers to discuss planning and status on the projects outsourced to Beijing
• Establish the implementation of the quality process within the engineering department

• Prepare the source materials for translation and create localized version of components by creating, editing, and compiling/building all required materials.
• Ensure end product (after translation) is aesthetically correct and without any functional errors.
• Maintain project documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Execute compilation/Building procedure to create engineering component.
• Prepare / Verify Engineering localization kit for Production.
• Prepare the production environment by ensuring all files, memories and work instructions are available in the correct format and by setting up necessary hardware and software.
