I worked as a research assistant in the Department of Chemical Engineering to assist a graduate student with her thesis experiments regarding RNA encapsulation in polymers• Created a new standard operating procedure for polymer bead creation by using design of experiment testing to assess different experimental inputs to increase biosensor encapsulation by 45% which resulted in a 70% improvement in the detection limit of organic contaminants• Conducted and analyzed 4 different experimental inputs and their interactions on effect of biosensor encapsulation with design of experiment statistical analysis to develop predictive models
