After 26 years at Rice Lane Primary I retire on the 31st August. It was a pleasure to be the headteacher at Rice Lane. Teaching is a wonderful vocation and I have enjoyed my time. The past two years have been different to say the least and have pushed many boundaries. Prior to being in education I was a development manager at Unilever working on Domestos latterly for 13years. Since retiring I have completed suicide awareness courses, mental health and well being courses. I support two young people delivering the training supporting well being of staff in educational settings. I also volunteer at Wirral foodbank at least twice a week and I support a local Wirral animal charity raising funds. And every day I wake and think - “what incredible things will happen today”
