Responsible for overseeing and managing the entire Information Technology Department and ensuring that the help desk team is meeting its goals and objectives efficiently and reliably. Worked closely with senior leadership, staff, and vendors to help determine the best way possible to meet the technology needs with an emphasis on maintaining high security standards for HIPPA compliance. Provides strategic and day-to-day direction for the Information Technology department, including IT strategies, policies and procedures, management of IT staff, and budgeting.

Responsible for planning, implementing and maintaining all IT operations 24/7/365 for a non-profit call center including systems engineering, database administration, desktop support, internal communications, strategic planning, forecasting and budgeting. Supervises all IT staff and reports directly to the Executive Director as a member of the 4 person Executive Leadership team. Significant projects included completely updating the network & Server infrastructure for improved TOC and reliability while also leveraging the resources of cloud based platforms to develop a cost effective five year strategy for the organization.

Created company policies and procedures, coordinated work with other departments, while establish and enforce budgets for the IT Department. Hire, supervise, and train IT staff and contractors. Led a team of committed network professionals on all aspects of maintaining an enterprise network environment for an enhanced services telecommunications company. Coordinated the evaluation, deployment and management of IT initiatives across the organization to achieve business goals. Originally hired as a Network Engineer (2 years) and was promoted to IT Manager (5 years) before being promoted to IT Director in 2004. Managed Exchange Servers and Database servers (MSSQL, ORACLE)• Provided on-call support for emergencies virtually 24/7, 365 days per year.

Contract work for Crave Entertainment installing the network for a new Seattle office for game programmers. Enjoyable work building and documenting a new network. Set up the corporate VPN for the secure transfer of source code back to company headquarters in California.

This was a temp job doing repair work for HP workstations and Compaq servers.

Built pc's and repaired servers. pulled a lot of network cable, installed a lot of drivers and unjamed several printers while learning the essentials skills necessary for a successful hardware and network technician. My boss went out of his way to mentor me and guide my learning which I deeply appreciated.

I started at Alice B. Theatre as the box office manager but got moved in to the front office when it was discovered that I knew how to use a computer and had some writing skills. I handled the accounting needs (quickbooks/excel/ADP payroll), promotions (press releases/pr materials), and assisting the technical staff with all things computer. It was during this time that I got more involved with the Seattle dial-up crowd and started setting up small token ring networks for other non-profits in the Seattle area. I also did some work with the Actor's Equity union maintaining an umbrella contract with the national organization which led to me meeting all sorts of interesting people. loved loved loved this job. This was a college internship where I was responsible for moving a non-profit from the world of IBM Selectric typewriters into networked Macintosh computers. My boss wrote the following in my performance review; Chip "was an invaluable addition to the Alliance . . She showed tremendous initiative, enthusiasm and intelligence. . She was able to provide computer consultation and training that would have cost the Alliance thousands of dollars. She quickly mastered a new computer system and went on to bring the Alliance staff and volunteers into the world of high-technology. Her tutorial on the computer systems will be a living legacy." Looking back, I hope that my living legacy will be bit more significant than that training book I wrote for them, but I am proud that I was able to help them so much in our relatively short time together.
