Worked on Motorola Enterprise Mobility WLAN software, WiNG, on various Access point and switches.Bonjour GatewayBonjour is a multicast DNS protocol which is used by devices for service discovery, address assignment and host-name resolution.Bonjour Gateway implement functionality to make service discover available across subnet and allow access control of those service. This gateway runs on Access Point and Controllers of Motorola WLAN products.End-to-end responsibility to develop this gateway from scratch by snooping multicast DNS service advertisement packets.Implemented Command Line Interface to configure bonjour service.These rules will then be applied for any incoming request on that wlan/vlan/user role.Certificate ManagerWiNG software command for generating certificate request/keys were using M2Crypto of python.This was taking a lot of memory. Task was to switch to libcrypto (openssl) and use its API to achieve same functionality.PEAP-MSCHAPv2 with LDAP802.1X Authentication can be used authenticate the users from LDAP server. Authenticator ( Switches) has to join Windows AD domain first and then send authentication request to LDAP server for authentication.For deploying this feature iIntegrated samba utilities in WiNG software.Upgrade ToolWritten shell script to upgrade software for controller and access point. This shell script download the firmware image from specified URL, burn it to alternate partition.
