Having always loved sport and having an interest in human movement and functioning, I decided to undertake a degree in Exercise and Sports Science at the University of Exeter. I graduated in the summer of 2023 with a first class. From here, I have decided to take my education further and study MSc Physiotherapy at the University of Southampton.I am approaching the end of my first year and have had some intense days at University and two of my five placements. My first was in the community, where I visited patients in their homes to assist them in regaining mobility and balance. Then, I spent 6 weeks on a rehabilitation ward helping patients to return to their baseline mobility after a hospital admission. In the future, I am hoping to gain experience with amputees and prosthetics as well as with neurological rehabilitation. I aim to pursue a career in one of these specialties as my practice develops.
