I help with the development of fashion from start to production. This includes designing, CADS, tech packs, pattern making, marking and grading, grade sheets of size runs, sourcing fabrics and trims, selecting pantones, trend research, management of samples, sewing muslins, coordinating with vendors and contractors, fittings, and production QC.

I worked alongside a designer at Guess in order to design a collection and create a garment for the Otis College runway show.

I sold a collection that is currently being produced in Bangladesh to be sold in both the U.S. and Nigeria. It was eight jackets and pants to complement the T-shirts being sold under that brand. I presented sketches, created the flats, worked on the tech packs, and hired fit models for the samples.

This was an especially incredible opertunity to work at a fashion brand of this level. I had responsibilities such as picking up fabric from different locations, sourcing buttons and zippers, as well as bagging/organizing the samples.

Lipstick Prophets is a high end production company with clients such as Rodarte and Marchesa. I shadowed the pattern maker, cutters, managers, and quality control. I also did a lot of cutting, seam ripping, ironing, and hand sewing on the actual products; as well as picking up supplies and sitting in on meetings.
