My role as National Contact Point (NCP) for the space area in Horizon 2020 involves supporting UK organisations in accessing funding from the space area of Horizon 2020. This is achieved through:- Being a member of the Programme Committee for space at the European Commission, working with industry and the wider space community to ensure that the UK's interests are represented in Horizon 2020 calls. - Promoting the opportunities for funding space projects in Horizon 2020.- Helping organisations understand if Horizon 2020 is right for them, the proposal requirements, rules and application process.- Work with other National Contact Points, both in the UK and Europe, as well as other support organisations such as the Knowledge Transfer Network and the Enterprise Europe Network to ensure organisations have access to the full level of support available.- Member of the UK Space Euro Affairs Group. - Partner and steering committee member in the Horizon 2020 project, COSMOS 2020, a network of space National Contact Points across Europe.
