Selected for the key role of ‘Voice & Data Networks Specialist Team Leader’ as part of Teligent’s 2nd level technical support team, providing expert telecommunications and networking guidance to Teligent’s global customer base as well as Teligent’s own engineering solutions design team. Responsible for the day to day running of the Support Department which consists of 7 Support Engineers. These responsibilities consist of;Managing the required work for the team of 7 support engineersProviding technical backup for Teligent’s Service Account Managers in their monthly customer support meetings. Controlling build / upgrade and customer site specific information to ISO level.A member of the 24/7 call out team. Support/troubleshoot all aspects of Teligent’s equipment portfolio together with multi-vendor products that form part of Teligent’s overall platform solutions with emphasis on: The Teligent Mass Calling platform solution and it’s underlying Unicast/Multicast network, the Teligent P90E (Linux) service development platform along with their respective L2 and L3 networks, Teligent’s Channel Grooming switches, Windows NT/2003 Server & Workstation (built on Compaq [HP] Proliant Servers), Teligent’s Intelligent Programmable Switch (IPS) Class 4 carrier grade voice switch.Design and configure data communications and network solutions that form part of the Teligent portfolio and author the related technical documentation that supports each solution. Conversant in LAN, WAN switched and routed network troubleshooting, utilizing protocol analyzers and test equipment (Wire Shark, formally Ethereal, Sniffer PRO), taking remedial action where necessary.Extensive knowledge of the following operating systems: UNIX, Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000 & XP, Windows server 2003 and 2008
