I am proud to have been a member of the Police service since 2005 when I joined West Midlands Police as a fresh faced Constable. Now, considerably more weathered, I have worked in a variety of roles, locations and areas of business, from Neighbourhood Policing officer, Response, Force Contact, Community Action Priority Teams and Prisoner Handling teams.Working closely with comminity stakeholders in Birmingham City Centre I was Winner of the Police Officer Of The Year from the Westside BID and numerous commendations for my proactive action against the use of vehicles anti socially, those determined to disrupt those wanting enjoy themselves with criminality. Utilising 'thinking outside the box' mentality I have been part of strong, proactive teams that have been preventing and detecting significant crime and risk to the public.Serving communities across the West Midlands I moved over to the Central Motorway Policing Group in 2015. Whilst developing in this role my skill sets have advanced significant, which I am able to cascade down to others with my experience.In October 2024, I transfered to Staffordshire Police on the Road Crime Team. This is a fresh new approach, with the benefits of being able to mould the Roads Policing model in Staffordshire.I am proud to be able to voice my opinions and experience to aid building a bright future for the County.I have obtained some superb qualifications including Advanced Police Driver, Tactical Pursuit And Containment, Pursuit Tactical Advisor (SME), City & Guilds standard vehicle examiner & HGV examiners with the ability to issue prohibitions.I am a tutor constable and have successfully assisted a number of recruits to our department with gaining experience and exposure to real-time learning. I am decisive under pressure, having the ability to make quick effective decisions based on my training, the law and planning for the next decision is a strong point of mine, something that I am well respected for. I have literally put my life on the line to protect others from harm, acting with integrity and respect always to do the best job I can, often under scrutiny and pressure to do the right thing.I am a Class 1 HGV licenced driver, H licence holder and motorcyclist.Outside of work I am a keen family man with my wife, two boys and dog. I am a keen musician, helping with managing our bookings, updating social media, book keeping and accounting as well as playing drums!Being a Wolverhampton Wanderers fan, I am able to cope with disappointment and have great bouncebackability!
