As a Focal Plane Engineer at Teledyne Imaging Sensors, I shepherd the fabrication of high performance HgCdTe infrared hybrid focal plane arrays for applications in Astronomy, Earth Science, and National Space. My responsibilities include detector design, performance modeling, process improvement, and interfacing with the members of our technical team and program office.

- Development of transition metal dichalcogenide synthesis techniques for production at scale (atomic layer deposition) or UHV surface science study (chemical vapor deposition). Characterization with scanning Raman spectroscopy, photoluminescence, atomic force microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, ellipsometry, and X-ray scattering.- Fabrication, synthesis, and characterization of InGaN quantum wells on GaN micropyramids. Built a scanning UV photoluminescence microscope. Dimensional reduction of hyperspectral images collected by photo- and cathodoluminescence microscopy with multivariate statistics.

Applied Physics and Materials Science

- Fabrication, synthesis, and characterization of light trapping SiGe microwire arrays on Si. Characterized with scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and high resolution X-ray diffraction. - Coupled optical and device simulations of microstructured tandem solar cell candidate structures with Lumerical FDTD and Synopsys Sentaurus TCAD- Synthesis of epitaxial GaP films on Si with MOCVD. Evaluation for photonic and photovoltaic applications

Nano- and micropatterning of conductive features on resistive indium oxide surfaces with focused ion beam and argon ion bombardment characterized by conductive atomic force microscopy, secondary ion mass spectrometry and current-voltage measurements
