I've been extremely fortunate to have a life full of diverse experiences. Waiting tables in University (thank you, Clancy's Roadhouse!) directly demonstrated the impact of excellence in Customer Experience. Roofing in Kenora and welding railroad tracks outside Estavan in the blazing summer sun taught the value - and challenge - of physically demanding jobs. Submarine service brought discipline (at a time I sorely needed it), and showed me the power of training and a clear, unified purpose. Gas turbines taught me that we can ALWAYS learn new things, and that change can be both terrifying and fulfilling. Furniture - from learning to sell to the privilege of being in Customers' homes to deliver their special purchase to repairing something that was once broken - brought it all together in a career that has now extended nearly 20 years.The thread through all those experiences is that I've met and worked with truly amazing people that have shared, challenged, led, followed and walked beside me at various times. There have been good days, bad days, great days and what-the-hell-do-we-do-now days. To each of those people I owe a debt of thanks and gratitude for helping me achieve what I have, shaping who I am, and putting me in a position where I love what I do. Thank you, all!
