As a Product Design Engineer, it is my responsibility to take new products through each design stage. It is my responsibility to accumulate the knowledge and background required to adequately bound the product requirements to which the development will be driven. Following that, concepts are generated and narrowed down by safety, feasibility, cost, and various other parameters. Following the conceptual design stage, it is my responsibility to work with a designer and create the detailed drawings that the manufacturing will use to make the final product. The product is then tested to specifications that I develop based on regulations and requirements from the end user.

I work in the New Product Introduction and Product Line Extension group. The goal of this position is to lead design and development of new products to further enhance the company's ability to win projects and profit in a down market. I lead multiple projects at a time and am the lead engineer for the projects. I have experience designing valves, slip hangers, and connectors, as well as extensive knowledge of API 6A qualification requirements for these new products.
