New Zealand

After seeing so many beautiful pictures and videos of New Zealand I knew I had to go there myself. My plan was to go for one year but world wide pandemic changed all of that and since life was "normal" there I ended up staying longer. In New Zealand I spent most of my time working with grapes, either in vineyard or at the winery.

Otepaa, Valgamaa, Estonia

After a sunny year in Australia I decided to take a job at Estonian ski center, mainly because itseemed like another interesting challenge and a job where I could learn something new. I got todo a little bit of everything from snowmaking to shaping ski jumps, renting out the equipmentand operating ski lifts.

Decision to leave Tallink and Estonia came because I had an urge to go and see the world. As many Estonians I decided to go to land down under - Australia. In order to travel the country I didn't take a permanent job, instead I had different seasonal jobs.

It Operations And Infrastructure Division

Staabi- Ja Sidepataljon

Compulsory military service at Estonian Staabi- ja sidepataljon. Was a member of 3 person team whose responsibility was setting up data link connections with other nodes using radio waves over long distances. It was good and memorable experience that definitely improved my teamwork skills in sometimes extreme and stressful environments that we were put in.

It Department

Worked with Swedbank IT department loans division maintenance team that was responsible for maintaining critical systems supporting Swedbank Baltics loans portfolio. Gained a good experience working in big multinational organisation and insight into financial world. Mainly dealth with testing and writing PLSQL queries for Oracle database.

My main responsibility was managing internaly developed information systems. Day to day tasks included communicating with end users to solve their problems and to instruct them, writing SQL queries for MSSQL and Oracle databases and data correction. I also helped with testing new versions of information systems and got to try out automated testing tools.
