About Chris Macadam

Hello, world! I'm Chris MacAdam, a dedicated software and game developer. I have a passion for bringing digital creations to life.I taught myself to program so I could make games. I loved creating assets and then writing code to make things interactable. It felt amazing to be able to interact with something I made. Over the years, I have dedicated countless hours to experimenting with various game engines and programming languages during my free time. I have created multiple prototypes and participated in game jams with C# and Unity3D - from pixel art platformers to VR racing games. I loved learning about C#, design patterns, and new ways to implement systems or better ways to structure my code to make it cleaner.I started exploring development outside of games, learning CSS, HTML, and JavaScript. I realized quickly that it was not just games I love making but all aspects of software development in general. Motivated by this realization, I decided to start a career in software development. I enrolled at Tech Elevator to solidify my grasp of full-stack development while learning new skills like Vue.js and SQL and writing RESTful APIs.My goal is to find a company that encourages me to learn and grow while allowing me to contribute my passion and skills to meaningful projects.
