Manage a titanium melting plant with 70 -90 employees. Responsible for production, maintenance, safety, quality, human resources, accounting, planning, and engineering. Management focus on creating a culture of safety and continuous improvement, transferring ownership to all employees, incorporating into daily work.

Managed a fabrication department, metals processing both final and intermediate products. Wide range of operations from forging ingots, and machining, to final processing of foil, and wire with everything in between. Department set records for both safety and on-time delivery.

Responsible for the development and implementation of continuous improvement across a variety of both production and administrative departments. Worked with departments on evaluating largest areas for opportunity, and facilitated kaizen / improvement projects with cross-functional teams to develop sustainable solutions.

Managed the production of metals extrusion department. • Led a team that developed and implemented a pull through production system resulting in a 65% cycle time reduction, and increasing inventory turns by 160%. • Led a team that developed and implemented a quality program to identify and correct problems at the source, resulting in an 85% reduction of rework.• Led successful kaizen projects ranging from product flow, machine operation, TPM..., resulting in productivity improvements up to 75% and product cost reductions.• Developed leading metrics for core deliverables resulting in clear picture of what was working and what needed attention.• Created a production team consisting of maintenance, production, planning, and inspection personnel, resulting in an on-time delivery improvement of 125%• Successfully led an effort to change the safety culture in the department resulting in an 80% reduction in recordable injuries.
