This role has involved analysing the business processes across all three hospitals with the aim of identifying and implementing common processes across the organisation. This is being achieved through the facilitation of requirements workshops with key stakeholders and vendors. A major output from this process was documentation of the “As Is” business processes, including Patient Journey Rich Pictures, Roles and Responsibilities matrix and high-level process documentation.A major responsibility during this project was to manage the data migration processes. This has involved facilitation of data analysis and requirements workshops, and managing the data conversion tasks. I have also been heavily involved in completing the data conversion.As a senior member of the project team I have also been responsible for mentoring and managing work loads for a Junior Business Analyst and a Data Analysts on the project.Key Achievements: • Successful data migration of financial and inventory system • Successful data conversion of major, complex clinical data sets • Successful management of the data enhancement project • Development of RFP for Pharmacy System replacement • Development and management of Report Specifications • Business process documentation for all three hospitals • Development of end-user training material Show less

I was exposed to a wide variety of the Council’s business units with major focuses on Asset Management, Customer Relationship Management (Call Centre), Document and Records Management and Mobile Business Solutions.This role had wide ranging responsibilities in providing business analysis across multiple business units. It included writing Business Cases for the purchase or redevelopment of applications, business process redevelopment and documentation, and project management. I was also responsible for change management, quality assurance testing of new software modules, and the facilitation of user acceptance testing and training. This included producing training material and user documentation.Another key component of this role was the relationship management between the Council and application vendors, which included the review and negotiation of Service Level Agreements. I also became active in the New Zealand Key User Group for the UK based Asset Management application, CONFIRM, for which I was elected as Chairman in June 2002.A major achievement during my tenure in this role was the development of the “Mobile Business Solutions Strategy”, which was approved by the Information Management Team and implemented as a key ICT Delivery Strategy. This was initially a technical production support role within the Tandem Non-stop Server environment, identifying software bugs, coding and testing application software. I was later assigned to a key project supporting an application based in the USA. The initial phase of this project involved travelling to the USA as the Business Analyst for the handover process from our USA counterparts.
