A major output from this process was documentation of the “As Is” business processes, including Patient Journey Rich Pictures, Roles and Responsibilities matrix and high-level process documentation.A major responsibility during this project was to manage the data migration processes. This has involved facilitation of data analysis and requirements workshops, and managing the data conversion tasks. It included writing Business Cases for the purchase or redevelopment of applications, business process redevelopment and documentation, and project management. I was also responsible for change management, quality assurance testing of new software modules, and the facilitation of user acceptance testing and training. This included producing training material and user documentation.Another key component of this role was the relationship management between the Council and application vendors, which included the review and negotiation of Service Level Agreements. I also became active in the New Zealand Key User Group for the UK based Asset Management application, CONFIRM, for which I was elected as Chairman in June 2002.A major achievement during my tenure in this role was the development of the “Mobile Business Solutions Strategy”, which was approved by the Information Management Team and implemented as a key ICT Delivery Strategy. I was later assigned to a key project supporting an application based in the USA. The initial phase of this project involved travelling to the USA as the Business Analyst for the handover process from our USA counterparts.
