With 20 years experience in environmental, water, geoscience and closure roles across Australia, Chris has a broad technical skillset, demonstrating capability to thrive on new challenges. Chris is skilled in communicating complex concepts in a simple means to suit the audience and is sought out by his peers for his insight and advice.Chris spent his early career in consulting, working across Western Australia, before joining Rio Tinto in 2006. During his career at Rio Tinto, he have worked at a number of Iron Ore operations in the Pilbara, plus almost six years in the coalfields of the Hunter Valley in a Water Specialist role. While working, Chris completed a Master of Engineering in Hydrogeology & Groundwater Management (University of Technology Sydney) in 2010.Chris currently leads a team responsible for end to end oversight of the Health, Safety, Emergency Services, Environment and Communities disciplines in the Pilbara, Western Australia.
