I started working for JRI ( Freddys Frozen Custard and Steakburgers) in March of 2013 while I was studying to be a history teacher at Pittsburg State University. I started out as a team member working the fryer for 20 to 30 hours a week. Eventually I worked my way up to trainer and began training the new hires at my restaurant as well as being part of 6 new restaurant openings in various states. I became a shift supervisor soon after and in 2015 JRI offered me my first salary position and I couldn't turn it down, I had fallen in love with this company. I continued to work my way up through the ranks eventually becoming the General Manager in Pittsburg, Kansas. I was the GM for around a year when our VP of Operations at the time offered me a GM position in Lubbock, Texas with the potential to move even further up if I hit some lofty but achievable goals. I moved my girlfriend and 6 month old child 600 miles away from everything we have ever known for this opportunity. I was the GM in Lubbock for about a year before being offered a GM/DM role over both restaurants in Lubbock. After a short time in that role the VP of Operations came to Lubbock and offered me the Regional Manager position running restaurants in San Angelo, Lubbock, and Amarillo. Now I am in Tulsa, Oklahoma and oversee 7 JRI ran Freddy’s locations. it has been a fun and wild ride but I wouldn't have it any other way!
