Analyze and interpret blueprints, schematics, data and manuals to determine precise specifications. Lead a team of 15 Welding Inspectors ensuring quality standards throughout the facility meets specifications required within AWS, SJI and Company Quality Control standards. Work alongside Corporate Quality Control Leadership team to develop and audit company wide QC Manual – audited and revised annually. Coordinate and manage on-site audits from outside vendors. Document, file and maintain proper inspection records and quality assurance documents. Inspect and measure materials, products and installations to specifications. Train, develop and work alongside other supervisors and managers to develop a high performing team. Coach employees in developing and achieving individual performance goals. Develop and maintain strong and clear communication and rapport with plant personnel. On-Site client visits to inspect manufactured products delivered to the jobsite for damage or additional inspection. Other aspects of the position include working with the Steel Decking Institute managing UL, Factory Mutual, ICC and SDI audits on a quarterly and bi-annual basis.
