CurrentServe as primary Association representative for over 950 member companies and 75,000+ employees on legislative and regulatory issues affecting retirement savings, health plans and other employee benefits products with over $27 billion under management. • Accountable for leading the identification, creation, development, and implementation of all health care & retirement savings legislative/regulatory policy strategies and outreach. • Build relationships with key Members of Congress, relevant Federal agencies and other Associations to draft, pass and enact federal legislation and regulations that protect and strengthen NRECA’s three qualified benefit plans. • Spearhead coalition building, and worked closely with these interests to lobby key Members of Congress and Administration policymakers. • Research, analyze and draft legislation; author testimony for Congressional hearings, issue briefs, floor statements and grassroots advocacy. • Organize fundraising events for federal candidates. • Develop strategy and risk assessment of litigation for “multiple-employer” employee benefit plans. Direct activities of outside counsel.
