Like many people, I am often asked what I am passionate about and what I do for work. My answer, over my 20-plus-year career, has always been consistent: “I work with others to make ideas happen.” In the early stages of my career, this meant bringing to life the ideas of my leaders through my own contributions or collaborating as part of a team. As I’ve progressed, my role shifted to leading others to turn concepts into reality. To do this, I have learned and applied new skills such as change leadership, creating and communicating a vision, obtaining buy-in, fostering a collaborative culture, risk management, and building strong, effective teams. But the most critical skill I've developed is listening—recognising that those closest to clients, doing the work, are essential in refining and improving the outcomes you are looking to achieve. I've had the privilege of leading teams in implementing innovative ideas, such as unique product propositions, business integrations, and new client servicing models, each contributing to increased value to clients and business growth. Currently, I am leading Insignia Financial’s Client Wellbeing division. Here, I'm involved in the most significant and impactful work of my career: helping Insignia Financial realise its ambition to create financial wellbeing for every Australian.
