From a young age, I was captivated by the allure of flight and space exploration, idolizing astronauts and fighter pilots, along with the technology that propels humanity into the atmosphere and beyond. As I matured, I realized these explorers are just the tip of an iceberg, supported by vast teams of dedicated engineers and scientists. This realization fueled my passion for aerospace engineering and program management, driving me to contribute to the technological advancements that make such exploration possible—a goal as satisfying as becoming an astronaut, but perhaps more feasible.Looking ahead, my aspiration is to reduce the time and cost associated with integrating new technologies into aerospace systems without compromising safety—a formidable challenge given the industry's conservative nature. By applying Bayesian methods to make inferences on key metrics from failure rates and system performance to program schedule and financial outcomes, I aim to develop tools that manage risk more effectively while accelerating technological deployment. As a Bayesian methodologist, I bring a unique perspective to aerospace engineering. My approach allows for probabilistic interpretations and decision-making under uncertainty—skills increasingly recognized across industries but still emerging within aerospace due to its stringent safety standards. In the second half of my career, I am dedicated to building ecosystems that foster engineering excellence. I strive not only to lead teams in developing groundbreaking technologies but also to mentor the next generation of engineers.
