My life journey has been a testament to the power of reinvention, the pursuit of excellence, and unique leadership experiences. As a retired Navy SEAL and a Board-Certified Coach with a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership, I bring a wealth of deep-seated wisdom and unique perspectives to my clients. Team and Self-awareness are achieved through a process as a certified Clifton Strengths, PRO D, and EQi 2.0/EQ 360 Coach, who helps people discover their strengths and how they show up with them. As a lifelong learner and achiever, I seek to encourage a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires the coaching client or team to explore their goals, values, challenges, and dreams. I find immense fulfillment in empowering leaders and teams to reach their peak performance, unlock their greatest potential, and embark on transformative journeys of lifelong development. This desire to help others excel has influenced my travels and the journey forward. I entered college to help others through sports medicine, but after financial aid was unavailable, I decided to serve in the Navy to earn college tuition. I did not realize it at the time, but my father's time in the SEAL teams developed in me a desire to pursue and fall in love with being a Navy SEAL. I enlisted and earned my trident but knew I needed to chase the lion of excellence. While working full-time, I went to night school for a bachelor's degree, which set me up to become a Commissioned Naval Officer in the SEAL Teams. While serving as the Executive Officer at the Center for SEAL/SWCC, I became a Center for Credentialing and Education Board Certified Coach with a certification in Emotional Intelligence because that allowed me to explore with excellence the concept of bringing coaching, emotional intelligence, and assessments into the leadership development process for the SEAL community. A week shy of 28 years of SEAL experience, I faced yet another time of reinvention due to the toll of being a SEAL and several neck surgeries had on my body. I had already gone to night school and obtained a Master's in Global Leadership, but now excellence looked like being able to teach at the highest level, which required a Doctorate. I pursued the Doctor of Strategic Leadership with a concentration in Leadership Coaching because it was more about applying what others had researched, and it would help others climb their next mountain. I don't know what mountain is next, but I know a mountain range is visible at the top! What’s your next mountain? Do you need someone to journey with you? Let’s connect!
