Acted in dual leadership roles as a Civil Affairs (CA) Sergeant and Team Sergeant while deployed to Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom for twelve months. Supervised and planned the activities and missions of a four-man CA Direct Support Team attached to the 4th Infantry Division in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan. As a Project Manager, coordinated over forty small- and large-scale development projects totaling over 1.2 million dollars and affecting approximately 7,500 Afghan citizens of the Kandahar Province.Conducted weekly engagements and meetings with Afghan citizens, government officials, and local project contractors. Qualified and continually trained on various tactical and communications equipment platforms to ensure preparedness for future deployments in the civil military operations community.
