Globally accountable for managing all aspects of market development and communications for Caterpillar Marine and Caterpillar Oil & Gas. Oversaw industry specific marketing initiatives, promoting both the Caterpillar and MaK brands utilizing their unique value propositions.

Set the vision for marine specific training needs for Caterpillar employees and Cat dealers to improve sales and service execution. Created the “Cat Marine Academy” as an online educational curriculum driving greater technical knowledge and improved customer experience. Established and executed the strategic direction for the marine specific Marketing Pre-Field Representative program. Developed and led the rotational training program for future marine sales and product support territory managers.

Embedded the 6 Sigma methodology in to the Marketing and Product strategy for New Product Introduction. Incorporated market insights and analysis into the product development process. Created and executed product marketing launch plans that enabled accelerated market adoption. Led dealer development activities in West Africa to improve parts and services support within a challenging region.

Responsible for selling a portfolio of multi-branded engines and propulsion solutions throughout the Southeast United States. Engaged in dealer development activities for Caterpillar dealerships and second-level Authorized Marine Dealers.

Participated in the Engine Product Support rotational training program supporting technical response for multiple industries.

Provided engineering support for ongoing Naval projects, including engine design and application support.

Developed diagnostic procedures for product maintenance and repairs to be included in Service Manuals for Large Engine products, Motor Graders and Scrapers.
