Chris successfully managed a wide range of energy and environmental engagements with ICF. In particular, he led conservation potential studies, energy efficiency program assessment and designed, and evaluations of emissions related regulations and policies across North America on behalf of government and commercial clients. He also has experience with facility energy efficiency assessments and greenhouse gas verification for emissions reporting (conventional and unconventional oil and gas extraction, processing and transmission, cogeneration, power generation and mining) and emission reductions projects across Canada, including energy efficiency, anaerobic wastewater treatment, acid gas injection, enhanced oil recovery, wind energy, aerobic composting, and landfill gas.

Leveraging Kenya’s mobile banking system and cellular technology, M-KOPA offers high-quality products via uncomplicated financing arrangements that improve the lives of East Africans. At M-KOPA, Chris led the design and market research of a solar powered irrigation system suitable for sale to smallholder farmers in East Africa, including technical research, partnership development, field-testing and market analysis.

The Sustainability Office was established as one of the first of its kind in North America, harnessing the energy of students, staff and faculty to drive environmental innovation. Chris managed the growth of the Sustainability Office from 6 to more than 30 full and part-time employees and was responsible for employee and stakeholder management, strategic planning, and budget administration. He successfully established the university’s first greenhouse gas and resource inventory and a cross-campus Sustainability Board, supervised the roll-out of a comprehensive community based social marketing campaign for energy efficiency, and was key to the implementation of energy efficiency projects.
