With twenty years of experience, Chris has extensive knowledge of GHG emissions accounting, mitigation, measurement and verification; energy efficiency and renewable energy; impact and community finance; climate and energy policy and economic and emissions analysis.He is currently General Manager of SolarShare, a not-for-profit co-operative that owns and operates 51 solar facilities across Ontario, financed using $80 million in community bonds raised from more than 2,000 members. At SolarShare, Chris is responsible to the Board of Directors for strategy, operations, business development, finance, budget, planning and human resources. Chris is an independent consultant working in climate and energy. He has completed dozens of GHG inventories and supported numerous GHG mitigation projects and advises clients on verification, energy efficiency, renewable energy and sustainability strategy.He is also an Instructor for GHG Accounting and Reporting at the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies.Chris is a professional engineer, a certified energy manager, and holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University. Chris has served as a member of the City of Toronto's Residual Waste Working Group, the Grants and Special Projects Committee of The Atmospheric Fund and as Treasurer of the Clean Air Partnership. Chris is a past Fellow of the Just Economy Institute, and is currently an advisor to Foresight Canada and Emission Reductions Alberta, and is a director of the Ontario Co-operative Association.
