I’m a product manager working in the Open Research Services team within the Digital Resources directorate.I currently manage the UK ORCID Consortium and lead on persistent identifier projects. I also support a number of projects, activities and community groups in areas such as research notebooks, research data, research information, research analytics, open research, standards development, and work that supports researchers throughout the whole research lifecycle. In particular, I keep a watching brief on developments with persistent identifiers and research notebooks to ensure Jisc is positioned correctly with national and international developments.I actively support the work of international organisations, such as the Research Data Alliance (including the management of the RDA UK node), and engage with international groups and projects.

Working with universities, and national/international organisations and groups on advancing and improving open research, research data/information management, research software, research tools, and standards development. Leading development of key projects supporting the Research Strategy (such as Persistent Identifiers, Research Notebooks, Research Analytics, Prediction Market (REF) Tool, Research Data Discovery Service, Next Generation Research Environments). Ensuring Jisc is positioned correctly with national and international developments on work to support open research. Working in partnership with UKRI to run and manage the Research Data Alliance (RDA) UK node engaging with national and international stakeholders. Engaging with stakeholders, working and steering groups; leading projects; managing consultants; financial reporting and budget management; communicating plans and outputs with universities, government, international and commercial organisations; writing proposals, plans, reports, strategy and policy documents, technology summaries and briefing documents; organising, chairing and presenting meetings/workshops; presenting at international events.

Managing the Access & Identity Management (AIM), the Virtual Research Environment (VRE), and Research Tools programmes. Including writing over 6 major funding calls, liaising with internal and external experts, analysis work and funding decisions; communicating programme plans and project outputs with academic institutions, government, international and commercial organisations; managing over 40 funded projects (across disciplines and institutions); writing reports on programme outputs, strategy and policy documents, programme status, programme summaries, programme definition documents, risk analysis, technology summaries and briefing documents; organising, chairing and presenting programme meetings and workshops; representing Jisc and presenting at national and international events; liaising and building relationships with international organisations and projects.

- Coordinating Jisc sponsored community engagement project (ENGAGE) – identifying and interviewing researchers about their research and experience of e-Infrastructure. Analysing interviews for requirements and potential solutions development and wrote project briefs for funded work. Representing the project at meetings, workshops and conferences. Submitting abstracts, posters and a paper, based on this work, for e-Science conferences.- Contributing to regular steering group, technical and management meetings.- Planning software releases and support as part of the Technical Management Committee. - Administrating and maintaining repository of e-Science projects, software and documentation.- Providing expertise and advice on gathering and specifying user requirements. - Managing a successful update of all company’s marketing literature for e-Science conferences.- Recommending and implementing improvements to software development and release processes.- Gathering usage statistics and user feedback, reporting directly to OMII-UK’s Director.

- Working on analysis, design and development of new pension administration system.- Managing software releases and communication with external clients using Microsoft SharePoint.- Seconded to Capita SIP Services in Salisbury for 8 months to formalise business requirements, write technical specifications, manage software releases and support users.
