Chris was CEO at Scaled Agile, Inc. during a decade of significant growth when Scaled Agile's flagship product, SAFe, became the world’s most widely used framework for business agility. Today, the company supports over 1,000,000 SAFe-practicing members, 500 partner organizations, and counts thousands of the world’s largest businesses and governments as customers.On joining Scaled Agile in 2015 as president and chief operating officer, Chris guided day-to-day management of Scaled Agile, building consistency, efficiency, and ensuring company-wide alignment with a strong commitment to customer success through the adoption of SAFe practices and principles. Chris is an IT executive with more than 25 years of experience in training, certification and education, including international expertise supporting IT change and organization development programs. He has proven leadership in development, deployment and growth of global professional services businesses that build agile organization skills and capability.Previously at Rally Software as VP of Customer Success, Chris provided leadership for rapid growth of transformation consulting services, Customer Success programs, partner and technical services.Prior to joining Rally, Chris was a Vice President at Oracle University, where he led the successful integration of Sun Learning Services following the acquisition of Sun Microsystems. It was there that he built his skills in analysis of workforce development and training needs related to major change programs and system integration projects. His earlier role at Sun Microsystems was Senior Director and Chief Learning Officer for Americas, and later Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Chris received his undergraduate degree from Bristol University in the UK and his Computer Science degree from the UK’s Open University.Originally from the UK, Chris is now based in Boulder, Colorado. He is a Fellow of the UK’s Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, and a Fellow of the UK Royal Society of Arts.
