The company filed for bankruptcy protection and sold its assets to ToysRUs and other acquirers in early 2009. Responsible for all aspects of information technology development and operations, as well as project management, product development, business intelligence and business operations. Key participant in the evaluation and execution of new business ventures.• Led the detailed planning and execution of numerous infrastructure projects related to the separation from KB Toys.• Led the detailed planning and implementation of the My Twinn business following its acquisition.• Key participant in the evaluation and strategic planning of the merger/acquisition of Baby Universe, a public company, resulting in the creation of The Parent Company. Led the rapid migration and data conversion of two key Baby Universe e-commerce businesses onto the eToys Direct technology and fulfillment platforms. Conversion was achieved one business day after the completion of the merger. • Led SOX compliance efforts and related process changes for the IT group and participated in financial compliance efforts. • Managed core IT team in Denver, CO as well as line of business IT teams in Richmond, VA and West Palm Beach, FL.• Managed the website product development team with responsibility for five e-commerce sites. • Oversaw all IT and critical business projects. Joined Brainplay.com as the company’s first Oracle DBA and database development resource, as it was being acquired by KB Toys as a wholly owned subsidiary with the intent to deploy a KB Toys e-commerce site and spin the subsidiary public.• Rapidly developed a team of database professionals and directed a critical conversion from Microsoft SQL to Oracle 7 in advance of a major national television advertising campaign planned for late September.• Led the database deployment of numerous functional enhancement projects for the web site.

Co-founded Vistyx Corporation, formerly Dallas Softworks, as a technical consulting firm focused on Oracle technologies. Balanced consulting and business management roles. • Key participant in the design and development of a retail automation application for the Army & Air Force Exchange Services (AAFES) that was deployed at over seventy military bases in the continental US. Application modules included merchandise receiving, replenishment, store transfers, price changes and merchandise management. The application was developed using Oracle development tools and databases.

Primarily involved with a back office application development project at a large retail client. Application was developed using a 4GL development tool that was created by Coopers & Lybrand consultants and was deployed on IBM RS/6000 servers running Oracle 6 databases.
