My background is in sculpture and architectural fabrication, both of which I have cultivated over the last 15+ years into a unique skillset for working in scenic environments, film, trade shows, museums, collegiate UX, and marketing events. This industry demands a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration, with the ability to think creatively and adapt on the fly, while understanding the role each uniquely talented individual plays in creating the project.Prior to working in scenic design in Atlanta, GA, I served as a cornerstone creative designer in Tallahassee, FL for more than thirteen years combining art, design, and technology for Collegiate UX to create a branded experience for the City of Tallahassee and Florida State University. As part of a collaborative team, I have personally overseen, contributed to, and consulted on numerous projects to develop innovative ways to connect audiences to interactive experiences during all stages of creative development. From discovery to research, I have the skills to dream big, while maintaining an understanding for real world production as concepts transition from ideation into fabrication and installation, keeping in mind practical uses for a clients’ brand and needs.Thus far I have worked on projects across the country, including the Harry Potter Exhibition, Adult Swim’s "Wormageddon", Machu Picchu and the Golden Empires of Peru Exhibition, Ramses the Great Exhibition, Florida State University’s Presidential Bronze, and the Tallahassee, FL Civil Rights Memorial Walk. Each project presented its own particular set of challenges but through strategic planning, management, and a solutions-orientated mindset, the vision became a reality, resulting in memorable moments of connectivity and interaction for the user and client.Telling a visual story in this industry takes a community of dedicated creatives with specific benchmarks all centered on one goal.
