About Christian 'Mac' Maclean

As a child, I was the only English-speaking kid in a Mennonite community in northern Canada. At the age of six, my parents gave me my first computer. Scholastic Book Fairs and curiosity took care of the rest.I’ve been successful in many executive and leadership positions throughout my career in development, entrepreneurship, and product management, and these experiences have taught me a lot about myself. I’ve taken the things that make me unique—curiosity and the ability to consume information, seeing patterns and connecting the dots in non-intuitive ways, a history of beating the odds and being able to drive change, and authenticity, empathy, and self-awareness—and turned it into a career as an inventor, maker, problem solver, and connector.I can successfully scale SaaS and D2C businesses from zero to hundreds of millions in revenue: - I understand what it means actually to put the customer at the center of everything- I love big ideas but truly thrive under constraints- I leverage intuition to connect the dots, but I always seek data to validate my insights - Builder DNA has given me the ability to break strategy and vision down into key steps and impactful, inspiring deliverablesI can align, lead, and grow top-notch international Product teams:- I’m cross-functional and speak tech, design, sales, CS, and exec- I’m a passionate and intuitive storyteller who can motivate and inspire visually and verbally- I’m decisive and make clear-cut and timely decisions with the appropriate amount of data and information I educate myself and those around me and challenge myself to grow personally and professionally:- I’m not driven by a personal agenda; I’m motivated by seeing teams and individuals grow and thrive- I’m a genuine polymath who’s cultivated a wide range of interests to keep my curiosity satisfied- I believe leaders are generous and share knowledge gained through observation and experience, not just their favorite book recommendationsI enjoy meeting new people and gaining fresh perspectives. Feel free to reach out for new opportunities or to talk about technology, AI, Formula 1, or your favorite snowboard or hill.
